The Gulf
Energy, light and open horizon.
Sunrise walks, beach days, paddling, family recreation and the unmistakable feeling of arriving at the coast.

Why Seahorse? · Follet’s Island, Texas
Not louder. Not more crowded. More connected—to the water, to the people you came with and to the place itself.
The Idea Behind Seahorse
Seahorse began with a simple conviction: a coastal community can offer more without taking away what made the coast special in the first place.
That meant planning across the full width of Follet’s Island rather than treating the Gulf as the entire story. It meant preserving wetland habitat, creating a path to Drum Bay and giving families meaningful ways to experience both shorelines.
It also meant bringing the pieces together. A day at the beach can become a weekend stay. A family gathering can become a celebration. A favorite escape can become the place you choose to own a home.
The Gulf
Sunrise walks, beach days, paddling, family recreation and the unmistakable feeling of arriving at the coast.
Drum Bay
Birding, fishing, crabbing, kayaking and evenings that slow down as the sky changes over the water.

The Bay Boardwalk
The elevated boardwalk carries residents across protected marsh toward the crabbing pier, lit fishing pier and kayak launch. More importantly, it makes the quieter side of coastal life part of the everyday Seahorse experience.
Bayside amenities are private and reserved for Seahorse residents under current community rules.

Preserving What Matters
Across Seahorse’s 108 acres, more than 61 acres are permanently dedicated to conservation. The Drum Bay Nature Preserve protects wetland habitat along an important migratory corridor and keeps the relationship between land, water and wildlife visible for generations to come.
Thoughtfully Designed
Two residential rows preserve openness and help homes share Gulf sunrise and bay sunset views.
The Covered Community Pavilion, Seahorse Promenade and Coastal Commons create room to connect.
The elevated boardwalk, crabbing pier, lit fishing pier and kayak launch extend daily life to Drum Bay.
Long residential driveways and managed overflow options support families, guests and larger gatherings.
Stewardship That Lives Here
The Seahorse ownership and operating family lives within the community. Beach Club service, vacation-rental management, event operations, homebuilding and long-term stewardship are not managed from somewhere else.
That presence creates direct accountability and a deeper understanding of how every decision affects residents, guests and the place itself.

One Destination. Distinct Journeys.
The Seahorse businesses remain distinct so every visitor has a clear path—while the broader destination makes each experience richer.
A quieter stretch of the Texas coast where Gulf energy and Drum Bay stillness meet.
A prepared family beach day that removes the hauling, setup and teardown.
Signature Homes and an on-site team turn a short escape into time that feels easy.
Beachfront weddings, quinceañeras and gatherings become destination weekends without the distance.
Homes and generous sites invite families to make the coast part of everyday life.
